Flange Edge Cushion

This tutorial shows you how to make a flange edge cushion with a zip in a plain fabric the way they are made in a professional workroom.

In the example we use a 5cm flange depth, (this method is good for all flange depths). We insert an invisible zip across the back panel for the best finish.

One of the trickier aspects of making a flange cushion is calculating the size of your 3 fabric panels. We have made a worksheet for this and Cindy talks you through the calculation as well as the complete making process.
